Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems The Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems is a global leader in applied solar research and plays an important role in the area of solar energy systems.
Offenburg University of Applied Sciences The Offenburg University of Applied Sciences displays excellence in the field of education as well as applied research and development with its Faculty for Mechanical and Process Engineering. This makes the university an important partner for the ZEE.
Öko-Institut e.V. The renowned Eco-Institute will be economically and politically involved in both the climate protection and energy areas.
Endowed Chair of Wind Energy (SWE) The SWE was endowed in January 2004 by a private-public partnership of Karl Schlecht, the founder and chairman of the supervisory board of Putzmeister AG. The SWE is the first German wind energy chair. The SWE’s research activities focus on structural dynamics and control, especially for offshore applications, load monitoring and the operation of wind turbines, as well as on composite structures.
